Why do I need to leave my licenses and entry permit at the waterfowl office when I hunt in A-zone?

A very good question! The short answer is: The Park requires that we do this. Here are some of the reasons: There is a need to know who is in the Park. In the interest of safety, we need to know if all hunters have returned safely to the Waterfowl Office. The Park is attempting to ensure that all visitors purchase a daily or seasonal permit to enter the Park. (From my perspective, a daily fee is much cheaper than the fine for not purchasing a daily permit.) By leaving your license in the office, it allows the MNR to check many people quickly for proper licensing.
